British 5th Regt. of Foot

5thfoot-thumb-800x600.jpg

First Legion is pleased to present our rendition of the Grenadier Company of the 5th Regiment of Foot.  This company was present at both at Lexington-Concord and Bunker Hill in 1775 and is the perfect complement to our release of the Continental Militia.  They are perfectly suited, and specifically designed, to represent the orderly ranks of British making the fateful march with destiny up the slopes of Bunker Hill.   We've portrayed them here with plenty of casualities and wounded showing the repeated efforts that were made in the attempt to take the Continental redoubt.   Though designed with Bunker Hill in mind, these figures are also very suitable for the march to/front Lexington-Concord where they were harried incessantly by the Continental Militia.   The 5th Regiment of Foot also took part in the battles around New York and Long Island in 1776, as well as Brandywine Creek and Monmouth Court House before leaving the continent in 1778.  These figures will make an excellent addition to any serious American Revolution toy soldier collection!
